Our founder and chef, Ash Famili, has had a presence in the Atlanta food scene for nearly a decade. Learning from the best, like Kyma’s Chef Pano Karatassos, to developing and consulting his own concepts in Buckhead, Marietta and Memphis, Tennessee. Famili’s love for the kitchen started as early as he can remember, watching his mother make his favorite meals and hearing stories about his grandfather being the best butcher back in Iran.
After traveling to Istanbul, Famili inspires to redefine the palate, by celebrating authentic Persian cuisine and introducing middle eastern flavors from his very own family recipes.
Yalda translates to rebirth of the “sun”, the longest night of the year in the Iranian calendar. The idea for “Yalda” sparked from celebrating time with loved ones, sharing food, reading poetry and reminiscing. Famili hopes to create genuine good times with love and great food.
